by accessing or using amicollapsing.com ("the service"), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. the service is operated by collapse index labs. if you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. description of service

amicollapsing.com is an anonymous population stability check. users answer a single yes/no question with a confidence level. responses are aggregated to calculate real-time population statistics including the collapse index (CI).

3. user responsibilities

• you agree to provide honest responses.
• you agree not to attempt to manipulate or game the statistics.
• you agree not to use automated tools to submit responses.
• you agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose.

4. intellectual property

• the collapse index algorithm and methodology are proprietary to collapse index labs and alex kwon.
• the software, design, and codebase are proprietary.
• population statistics derived from aggregated anonymous data may be used for research purposes.

5. research basis

the collapse index methodology is informed by published research in behavioral science and epistemic calibration, including work on uncertainty quantification and population-level stability metrics.

6. disclaimer of warranties

the service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. we make no guarantees that:

• the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• the statistics represent a scientifically valid sample.
• the collapse index is predictive of any real-world outcomes.

7. limitation of liability

collapse index labs and alex kwon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service. this is an experimental research project.

8. data and privacy

we collect minimal anonymous data. see our privacy policy for details on what we collect and how it's used.

9. modifications

we reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
